The comparatively large diameter of the heat exchanger tube also makes it much less sensitive to UK water systems. The heat exchanger is held in place by two o-ring connections and is remarkably simple to access and maintain for the installer. A small amount of aluminium oxide will form on the outside of the heat exchanger, but this is quite safe and normal.
